cheka sana foundation

The Cheka Sana Foundation is a charity in Mwanza, Tanzania that through various initiatives helps street connected children realise their potential. They have residential centres, a street outreach programme and a football academy. Their ultimate aim is to reunite the children with their families and intergrate them back into their communities.

My portraits of Anastazia and John, two street children from Mwanza Tanzania, were exhibited at the NPG in London as part of the Taylor Wessing Awards 2016.
